Daemon Becker
English Language Teacher
Daemon teaches English skills practice classes and blocks as well as Music History block, Jazz Band and Photography elective classes in the Upper School. In addition to being a teacher at AWS, Daemon is also a parent of a student in AWS Middle School. He enrolled his daughter in AWS after his family moved to Silang, Cavite, from Quezon City. In his free time, Daemon likes to play the blues, hang out with his cats and dogs, and explore the arts.
Daemon was born in Louisville, Kentucky and lived in New York City before he moved to the Philippines with his wife. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Louisville and an Associate Degree in Photography from the Fashion Institute of Technology. He has worked as a saxophonist in a touring jazz band as well as a photographer for various publications. In the previous six years, he taught English in several schools, including Acacia Waldorf School.
