EMMANUEL FAUBRY
History Teacher
Emmanuel grew up in Saint-Malo, France. He graduated college from the Université Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities and a Master’s Degree in History of Wars, Armies, and Security in Societies from Ancient Times to the present day. He began his career as a Social Sciences teacher in France in 2014. He moved to the Philippines in 2015 and taught French at De La Salle University in Canlubang before he joined AWS.
His interest in Waldorf Steiner Education happened after a conversation with a friend and teacher at AWS introduced him to the community. He started to teach at AWS in 2016 after he took the Asian Teachers Training (ATT) at AWS. He has attended many Waldorf Steiner Education workshops such as biography workshops of Nicanor Perlas and Iris Sullivan, Eurythmy workshops of Adam Chan, talks on Social Three-folding with Ralph Lazo, and all Asian Teacher Trainings (ATT) held at AWS with mentors from the Netherlands.
He was Sponsor Teacher for Kawayan class who graduated last school year 2020-2021. He teaches History and Social Sciences for Class 8 and Upper School. He loves animated discussions with his students and the working atmosphere with his colleagues. His hobbies are video games, movies and TV shows, and the game of Go. His wife Sophie was the former Main Teacher of Class 4 Cosmos.
