SHAINA PATRICIA PINEDA
Science Coordinator
Shaina has been a fan of the natural sciences and teaching, as far back as her own Kindergarten days, when she spent hours exploring the garden for interesting creatures and “teaching” a class that was comprised of an assortment of dolls. She formalized this lifelong fascination when she graduated from De La Salle University with degrees in Biology and Secondary Education. She has been a Licensed Teacher since 2001. Over the years, Shaina has taught a diverse group of learners in the Philippines and New York City, USA.
Her Waldorf Steiner journey began at AWS in 2018, and in so many ways, she still feels like a new teacher. When Shaina is not teaching, she enjoys stimulating or silly conversations. She may also be seen caring for stray or injured animals. Just like in her own Kindergarten days, Shaina still loves to explore.
