VIANNA JOYCE ARELLANO

Vianna believes that every day holds a new lesson, and the sun continues to shine, in order to remind us that we have another chance to be better and stronger. As a new teacher at AWS, Vianna hopes to personify this light for her students. She wishes to inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill in her students a love of learning.

Vianna has dedicated herself to learn about Waldorf education and is committed to help build a Waldorf school community through reverence, love, and freedom of learning. This summer, she has undergone some Waldorf teacher training programs such as the Asian Teacher Training (ATT) 2021: The Art of Education, the Metamorphosis workshop 2021: A Summer Intensive Waldorf Teacher Training in the Philippines, and the Art of Transparent Color, a Waldorf painting workshop with Van James of the Hawaii Waldorf School.

Vianna is a graduate of Bachelor of Communication Arts Major in Speech Communication and Minor in Writing from the University of the Philippines, Los Banos, Laguna. She is an advocate of inclusive education. Aside from teaching in AWS, she leads an Art and Reading program for underprivileged children in San Pedro, Laguna. She also has a passion for writing and photography.
