Education is an Art and is a continuing journey of discovery between a Teacher and Student. Each teacher strives to create a balanced and relevant curriculum that engages the students daily. A teachers’ own inner work, creativity, and the interdisciplinary nature of a Steiner curriculum are woven by the teacher to engage a child’s Head, Heart, and Hands. The enthusiasm the teacher can muster for her own learning is the gateway that awakens student’s interest in the world around them.

Our Teachers are the backbone of our school community. They are creative, inspired, and nurturing teachers who strive to create a healthy social life for our children, especially during this difficult time. They see each student as an individual coming into his or her own being and design a curriculum according to the unique make-up of the students and the class as a whole. Each teacher endeavors to develop a strong inner life to inspire the students they teach and to continue to pave the way forward.  Through continuous book studies, teacher training, and mentor visits, our AWS faculty continue to develop their understanding, knowledge, and skills in Waldorf Steiner education.
